Austin Tree Specialists
About Us
Caring for Central Texas trees since 1975
Austin Tree Specialists opened in 1975, back when much of what is now suburban Austin was still ranchland and the live oaks along Balcones Drive were only half the size they are today. Five decades later we are still doing one thing: taking care of trees in Austin and the surrounding Hill Country communities.
Our mission is simple — keep Central Texas trees healthy, safe, and standing for the next generation. We work exclusively in the Austin metro, from Tarrytown and Hyde Park to Bee Cave, Lakeway, Cedar Park, and Round Rock. That focus is why our crews know oak wilt pressure by neighborhood, know how Ashe juniper behaves in drought, and know which cedar elms are worth saving.
Our vision is an Austin canopy that survives heat, drought, ice storms, and development. We pursue it one property at a time with certified arborists, fully insured crews, and recommendations we would make on our own trees.
Values: honesty before upsell, safety before speed, and the tree's long-term health before a quick cut. If a tree does not need removal, we will tell you so — and tell you what it does need instead.
Certifications and standards: our arborists follow ANSI A300 pruning standards and ISA best-management practices, and every crew is fully insured for general liability and workers' compensation.
Community: we support neighborhood tree plantings, storm-recovery efforts after Central Texas ice events, and free oak wilt awareness talks for Austin neighborhood associations.
